This is a male of Wild caught Apistogramma sp. Jurua i acquired 1 month ago. These very rare wild ones are found together as by-catch mix into the Apisto Brietbinden batch of shipment. i brought up all the 9 pieces i found from that tank. This pic is one of the male sent to me by fellow apisto collector - Kenneth Foo. i really enjoy watching the blue radiant out of the scales from its breast area as well as the orange tip tail. A rare beauty of character! 2 Months ago i got some of these very rare Apistogramma sp. cf. Peixodo....from a wild shipment in Taipei. These 7pcs i found mixed up with the wild Ap. Juruensis shipment. I m lucky to own them - 2 pairs & 3 females. Today, i got a picture from fellow Apisto collector - Kennth Foo who i passed him a pair 2 months back. Wow! grown up to be a real beauty.....! Look at the number of colors and patterns! Long time we did not find this kind of Hongsloi in SIngapore since 2001 when SAMYICK bring in the Germany Apistogramma. These batch of 5 pairs are all in great colors. Another pose! Look at the red belly....and the face This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar. This is very nice Apisto Pauciquamis from rio Negro. Juruensis from Rio Nanay. Their males are in full adult size 5-6cm and females came in breeding colors. When they flare...some say they look like yellow "parrot" Wow...look at the yellowish-orange colored up when it flared. Breeding color female falring at the mirror! This is your new blog post. Their "triangular" orange batch at the tail & their "blood strain" throat are the key features. I got these batch from the Jun 09 Wild shipment from Brazil. All of these 5 pairs came in very good full adult form. The male is at 7cm long. Look at the throat...wow! the "Blood strain" marking Flaring in action! Another pose! I really love them when they flare Another pose in front of the mirror! This species quickly had establish themselves as the most aggressive apisto among the other 30+pieces of other apisto in my comm tank. This is your new blog post. They are known to be the biggest "finnage" fish. Before they flare, they look very normal & ordinary. When flared, with that impressive sailfin - this will definately stunt you for a moment. When they are not flaring..... When flaring....... What a display........flaring competition! i brought these 4 pairs of wild INKA50 in Taipei in my last sightseeing trip there. i had never seen such big size wild adult before. Another big male flaring! Looking out of its cave! Female...in breeding color All the 4 pairs...in groups....What a diplay of colors! A pair in courtship dance! i observe that wild INKA50 usually got very extended finnage...as compare to Bred specimens...
This is my new acquired Apistogramma Sp. "SUNRISE". i acquired them on mid Jun in Taiwan. The source is wild shipment from Brazil. As these are very high cost, i brought 2 pairs to intend for breeding. You can see from the photo that the intense yellowish-orange color...like that a SUNRISE!!! This is the another male. I still need another month to "pump" up these guys. i will update on the progress. Paragraph. ** I had ordered 2 more pairs from Glaser Germany. This time is German bred specimen. Will update when they arrived next week. Paragraph.
